Goodness was actually a pretty hard one to create a lesson about – not because goodness is hard to define but because it is not included as the word in the fruit of the spirit in many translations of the Bible. So, I used Blue Letter Bible (fantastic website if you need an online Bible source) and worked through the different translations. I believe that I ended up using ESV most of the time for this.
I haven’t been saying much about why I chose the verses that I did. Because this study is focusing on the fruit of the spirit, that being the gift given to us by the Holy Spirit, I tried to pick verses that help the girls understand God’s character and how we should emulate that character. I wanted to choose verses that they could see God clearly in.
We did the goodness study on a day where we were doing a short period of school so I did not include handwriting for this one. You could easily create your own using the generator at WorksheetWorks.com.
We also did not have a specific activity for this one. I had planned to make a popsicle stick picture but we didn’t get it done. Maybe I’ll put that one somewhere else in the study. Meanwhile, we are still working on the fruit of the spirit. At Home.
