Couldn’t help the little Wizard of Oz-ish quote. The girls and their dad just finished reading it not too long ago so it is kind of in my brain.
I had thought I would just skip this week’s challenge from Michele for the 34 Weeks of Clean. Then I opened the freezer and remembered: This was the task I have been pretending I didn’t see – the crumbs, the sticky something-or-other, the little things not where they are looked for, etc. So, I did it.
I pulled everything out of the freezer and wiped it all down. I threw out the old hamburger buns that had gotten stuck at the back who knows how long ago. I put the veggies and fruit (yes, those bananas – they go great into smoothies just like this!) and chocolate chips in one container and the meats/breadcrumbs/egg casserole squares in the other. That was it. Took all of about 20 minutes and that was because I got interrupted. It probably only took 10 minutes, all told, and here is the result:
The fridge took a bit longer but only because it was bigger. I had pulled the drawers about a month ago and gotten underneath and in them really well so they were pretty easy. There were a couple of things that had to hit the trash. Over all, a pretty easy clean.
I took some time to hit a couple of the cabinets that I still needed to do from the previous week. That ended up netting a big bag of recycling, a small bag of trash, and a cabinet I can get into a bit easier.
Floors are at least a weekly task with my kiddos so I didn’t give them any special attention this week. I probably should have but… Oh well.
Thanks Michele! I am making progress. At Home.

I’m glad you were able to get rid of the crumbs and sticky substances. I pretend they aren’t in my fridge, too.
You are welcome Lori! Glad you didn’t skip this week! And yes, we have bananas like that in our freezer too. 😉 I love the containers you use to hold things- makes it look so organized and tidy. Thanks for linking up- see ‘ya next week!
