You could also call this “things that make me go hmmmmm.”
These hands on projects that I blogged about over the past two weeks have given me some insight into my middle schooler. Now I have to figure out how to use this information.
She absolutely adores hands on projects. Making mozzarella and the creek project are just two of the more recent projects that she just jumped into full force. With the creek, she wouldn’t give up until she was able to get to a huge rock out that she just knew was creating a big part of the problem. She was right. Once she removed that rock, there was a tremendous increase in the flow of the water going under the bridge. It made a difference.
With the mozzarella, it was hands on the whole way and she seemed to really enjoy seeing the process of change occur.
So, is it hands-on? Is it seeing change? Is it doing something her sisters aren’t very interested in so she doesn’t feel like she has to share the project? I don’t know but I am trying to figure it out.
Have you dealt with anything like this? How did you end up handling it? Any tips or ideas for projects? Please, please share!
