CrossTimber – Gifts With Meaning ~ a TOS review

With the holidays rapidly approaching, you might be looking for something really special to give as gifts. I would like to introduce you to CrossTimber and their gifts with meaning. Literally. They do personalized gifts that include the meaning of the person’s name. For this review, we received a Personalized Framed Plaque with Name Meaning and Bible Verse printed and framed.crosstimber-name-plaque

We chose my niece who is graduating high school next spring to receive this gift so she would have something reminding her of her value and her worth as she took her next steps into the world. Then I started looking at them closer and really liked what I saw. So guess what? Yep – our order grew. (Psst – if you know the giggly girls or my nieces, don’t tell them.)

CrossTimber, a family owned and operated company, has made names their business. They research and study to compose an encouraging, Christian meaning for each name. They trace the origin of the name and find that source. Once there is an origin and a meaning to the name, CrossTimber searches the Bible to find just the right Christian application verse for that name.

When you contact CrossTimber to ask about name meaning, John (the owner) gets back to you very quickly. He sends you the meaning of the name in question, the origin of it, and an applicable Bible verse. He is very fast and doesn’t mind working with you a bit to make sure everything is exactly the way you want.crosstimber-name-plaque-2

As an example, I asked about a name by email. I got a response in just a couple of hours and I had sent the email on a weekend, not expecting a response until the next business day! He sent me the information very quickly. It looked something like this, except this is for my name:

Latin Honor and Fame: She who is Crowned in Victory 1 Chron. 19:13 Be of good courage, and let us behave ourselves valiantly for our people, and for the cities of our God: and let the LORD do that which is good in His sight.

I realized that while her name is officially spelled with an “h” in it, she likes it without the “h”. On Monday, I used the little chat button on the website to ask whether this changed the meaning. John quickly pulled up the name without the “h” and we found that the verse is actually different in that. He was more than happy to use whichever verse I preferred. True customization! True customer service!

I chose to order a 5×7 framed print. There are a few frames you can choose from or you can select the option to allow their frame artist to select one that goes well with your print. This is the option that I chose and I am really happy that I did. There are also larger print sizes, mugs, and jewelry boxes. And for a reader – bookmarks!crosstimber-name-plaque-3

Once you choose what you want and order it, CrossTimber gets going and orders typically ship within a few days. One thing that was really neat was that when I received my order, there was a personalized letter in it with a picture of the CrossTimber family holding gifts titled “making THIS order.” What a neat touch.

CrossTimber does a number of things that make their company really special. If you order three or more name gifts, they include a free matching bookmark for each first name in the order.  There is also a discount that applies when ordering three or more name gifts. Now you see I should have done that, blocked out the lad’s name on my review. Just didn’t know how to do that and still show the full beauty of the plaque.
