Most people enjoy chocolate and making chocolate treats is fun. Miss L bought a chocolate making kit a few weeks ago and has been enjoying it. Kitchen messes are fun when they are chocolate!
The chocolate melter is great for kids because while it does get hot, it doesn’t get so hot that it burns. This tempers the chocolate just right and makes it possible to dip into or pour. She has mostly used almond bark for the chocolate to melt. It is less expensive than the chocolate candy disks that can be bought and it goes a lot farther.
Miss L has made several creations with her chocolate kit. She has dipped pretzel rods. She has dipped them and added an M&M to each one, as well. (That was fun.) She has used the mold that came with the kit to make shaped chocolates. She created a chocolate fondue that we dipped things into (including some of the cupcakes she had made). She has made a bunch of chocolate covered nuts. (These were my favorites!)
Independence in the kitchen is a great thing and these kits that she purchased have allowed her to take large leaps in that direction.
Blessings,
At Home.
