About Me

My name is Lori. I am many things but of these the most important is a child of God. In His image, I try to be a good wife to a fantastic husband and mother to 3 beautiful girls, currently 5, 8, and 10. As of the end of the 2013 public school year, I became a formal teacher again, homeschooling the girls. This journey promises to provide much fodder for writing and encouraging others going through the journey of life as well.

I enjoy reading (especially historical fiction and classics), sewing, cross stitch, and spending time with my family. I love to visit historic sites and chase down historical markers to find the strange and interesting things. (Just the other day we found the Baby Head Cemetery – no kidding! And someone had wired up a baby doll head on the post! Strange!) I have recently realized that I enjoy writing. Another new thing for me – I enjoy spending time outside observing the birds!

I will be sharing my heart and bits of my life here on the blog. We’ll be chatting about life, homeschooling, learning, crafts and sewing, and anything else that catches my attention and time. At the beginning of 2014, we were blessed to be accepted as part of The Old Schoolhouse Review Crew. We will be getting the chance to review different products for the home and the homeschool throughout the coming year. We will be sharing those products here, as well.
